Eagles of my era
Living symbol of power
Your wings give strength
But why?
Preying on others
Is your hobby.

Eagles of my era
Living symbol of pride
Finches and parrot
Are not your mate
But soaring alone.
So selfish and arrogant!

Eagles of my era
Your nets build in rock
For your keen vision:
Preying on peasants.

Eagles of my era
But why?
From peasant snake and rats,
Fresh loaves of bread and fishes
Come.

Eagles of my era
Be aware!
Point of no return
Moves near
Your milk and honey
Remain here.
